Alan Moy
Canadian mastering and cutting engineer who worked at:
- [l=RCA Studios, Toronto] from ca.1968 to 1976
- [l=The Lacquer Channel Limited] from 1976 to ca. 1977
- [l=J.A.M.F.] from ca. 1978 to ca. 1980
- [l=Masterdisk] from ca. 1980 to the mid '90s
His work for and can be identified by an etched "GAM" in the runout.
The marking is not to be confused with [l=Masterfonics] engineer who also used GAM but additionally always contained "Masterfonics"
His [l=Masterdisk] runout signature etching looks like AΛ, ΔΛΛ or a more continuous ⩟∧∧. It is always accompanied by a stamped MASTERDISK. In all these cases please credit as ANV AM.
The marking is not to be confused with same era [l=Frankford/Wayne Recording Labs] engineer [a=Dave Moyssiadis] or 60's UK engineers [a=Derek Moore (3)] and [a=Malcolm Davies] who used a similar ΔM etching or with engineers who etched 'AM' such as [a=Alain Morand] (France), [a=AM (20)] (Italy) and [a=Andy Miles (2)] (UK).
