Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra

The [b]Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra[/b] ([b]TPO[/b]), also known as [i]Tōkyō Firuhāmonī Kōkyō Gakudan[/i] and [i]Imperial Philharmonic Orchestra Of Tokyo[/i], is one of the oldest Japanese orchestras, established in Nagoya circa 1911. Since 1938, TPO is based in Tokyo. The orchestra merged with Japan Shinsei Symphony Orchestra.
