American jazz singer singer from the 1950's-1970's.

Married to band leader 1955-1961.
In 1954, she toured with band leader as his band's primary female singer. Shortly after the tour with Barnet, she moved to Hollywood. Later that year she met Stan Kenton and began singing for the Kenton organization. In 1961 she posed for [i]Playboy[/i] magazine, and Kenton quickly divorced her. But professionally it helped her and she was in demand at jazz clubs all over the country. Her last major singing tour was in Japan in December 1981.
