Ray Ventura

French jazz big band leader, pianist, label owner, and music publisher.
Born 16 April 1908 in Paris, France, died 29 or 30 March 1979 in Palma de Malorca, Spain.
Uncle of Sacha Distel and father of Anne Ventura .
Founder of the label Versailles. In 1956, Ray Ventura joined forces with producer/manager Duke Niles in the publishing companies Rayven Music Co., Inc. (Rayven Music Co., Inc., Rayven Music Co., Inc., Rayven Music Corp. , Rayven Music Co., Inc. and Rayven Music Co., Inc.), Showboat Songs, Inc. (Showboat Songs), & Paris Music Co. In 1966, Niles bought Ventura out of his 50% of the companies to own them wholly.
