Real Name: Katherine Mary Lane née McInnerney née Lambert
British songwriter, aka Katherine (Kate) Mary Lambert, Katherine (Kate) Mary McInnerney, Katherine (Kate) Mary Lane, born 1949. Daughter of a wealthy solicitor from Lewes, Sussex. First wife of graphic artist Mike McInnerney (met 1966, married May 1967, separated circa 1972); and second wife of musician Ronnie Bumps (relationship commenced 1972; married September 1975; separated 1979), with whom the couple purchased The Fishpool, in Welshpool, in 1973 (sold the farm 1979, and moved to Twickenham).
Mother of Alana (adopted by Ronnie), Luke Kito Lane (born August 1973) and Ruben Jack Lane (born 1979). Currently resides in Wales.
May appear on releases as Kate, Katie or Katy, and often misspelled McInnerny. Also see Kate Lambert and Kate Lane.
