Youri Balcers

Producer, DJ and audio engineer from Lessines, Belgium. Co-founder of Firstcask Records with his childhood friend and fellow Lessinian, Gael. He moved to Berlin around 2000 and was taught disc cutting at Dubplates & Mastering, before coming back to Brussels to set up his own dub cutting and mastering studio Transfermastering, which went out of business in 2013. Afterwards he also worked at Musicom, Studio Garcia and Stempel Films as a freelance engineer. In 2016 he founded Himeta Technologies, a company that develops to ascertain correct ownership data on sound recordings.
