Mario Venzago

Swiss conductor, living in Germany, born in 1948 in Zürich.

He has been chief conductor or artistic director of several symphony orchestras, among others the Gothenburg Symphony 2004–2007 and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra 2002–2009. Since 2010 he has held the same post with both the Berner Symphonieorchester and the Northern Sinfonia in Newcastle.
