Raul D'Oliveira

Portugese-born trumpeter with a background in jazz and classical music; brother of arranger and conductor Jaime Oliveira. His credits include working with such artists as George Michael, Gil Evans And His Orchestra, Byron Stingily, Elton John, Wham!, Mike Oldfield, Gary Moore, Joe Jackson, Petula Clark, Joan Armatrading, Kula Shaker, Wet Wet Wet, The Blow Monkeys, Gloria Gaynor, Cliff Richard, Terence Trent D'Arby and Marvin Gaye. Supporting all World Tours of Wham / George Michael, Elton John to name a few. Appearing regularly on MTV awards, Britain’s Top of the Pops, Songs of Praise and still in 2018/19 Raul D’Oliveira still tours internationally from Hong Kong to Croatia, to Italy and so on. His greatest claim was finding Jesus Christ to be his Lord and saviour (on the Wham 1988 World Tour in China). That’s transformed his outlook on life and purpose for making music And since then has been quite literally instrumental in making music a joy for millions around the world whilst always humbly giving thanks to God. He continues to bring pleasure and delight in the jazz arena with his Jetstream Big Band and supporting other acts and also on the Christian platform regularly collaborating with the likes of Graham Kendrick , Songs of Praise and interviewing on Faith Matters OCR YouTube’s Online Christian Radio.
