The [b]Tokyo Symphony Orchestra[/b] ([b]TSO[/b]), also known as [i]Tōkyō Kōkyō Gakudan[/i], is a Japanese orchestra, established in 1946 as the [b]Toho Symphony Orchestra[/b] (東宝交響楽団) and based in Kawasaki. TSO acquired its current name in 1951.

The Orchestra has been performing at many prestigious venues in Japan, including [l=Suntory Hall, Tokyo], [l=Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall], and Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall. Apart from numerous classical works, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra recorded scores for [url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087344]The Return of Godzilla[/url] (1984) and [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fox:_Assault]Star Fox: Assault[/url] (2005) video-game.
