Steven D. Smith

US recording engineer, founded Take One Studios, Burbank, CA in 1986.

A 35 year veteran recording engineer in the music industry with numerous platinum and gold albums which include 2 Grammy award winners (D.C. Talk and Steven Curtis Chapman). Creative Director of Creatio. Also well known throughout the recording industry as having pioneered the motion picture and video game music recording industry in the Pacific Northwest.

Early in his career, he worked in Los Angeles at the Record Plant Recording Studio, Rusk Sound Studios and his own Take One Recording. Later relocated to Seattle. Worked as the Project Director for Bad Animals' Studio X and with his own mobile recording unit, Xtreme New Media Studios.
