

Greg Miyanda
Greg Miyanda was a Zambian singer, musician and songwriter who came into prominence in Zambia in the early 1980's. In the mid 1970's, he was a member of the short lived along with and . The band recorded at least three singles before their break up, which were later included in Mwale's 1978 Zamrock album, . Following the break up, Miyanda worked for the Zambian branch of in their sales and marketing department. With the support of Teal, he engaged in solo work, performing mainly Kalindula style music and releasing numerous popular singles through the 1980's. He was multilingual, releasing songs in Bemba, Tonga, Tumbuka, Nyanja and English. He was closely associated with as the backing band for his work but it is unclear what other bands he may have worked with. Greg Miyanda passed away in 2000.
