Willem Makkee
Dutch mastering and lacquer cutting engineer (1947-2017). Started his career with Philips Phonografische Industrie in Baarn before moving to the German sister company and becoming tape mastering engineer at the Emil Berliner Studios in Hannover. He officially retired in 2006, but kept on working on restoring and remastering master tapes for audiophile reissue labels such as Speakers Corner Records. Also operated his own Greenlight Studio, Langenhagen.
