Doves
Alternative rock band from Manchester, England, which started out as the dance band Sub Sub.
The band comprises twin brothers Sub Sub (guitar, vocals) and Andy Williams (drums, vocals), and Sub Sub (bass, vocals, guitar).
Years active: 1998 – 2010 (hiatus), 2018 –
During the band's hiatus, Jimi Goodwin released a solo album, while the Williams brothers regrouped as Black Rivers.
They began life as a Haçienda inspired dance band until their studio burned down and they lost all of their equipment, and then reformed as The Doves.
