Michael Kenny
Real Name: Michael John Kenny
Australian horn player, conductor and arranger, born 8 October 1939 in Malvern, South Australia.
As a child his parents encouraged him to play classical piano. He graduated from the Elder Conservatorium in Adelaide with a degree in composition and began his career as a French Horn Player with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
In the early 1970s he formed the Mike Kenny Orchestra who performed regularly with 5538797 whilst writing and recording material for ABC-TV.
Between 1990 - 2016 he conducted and arranged music for the Adelaide Metropolitan Orchestra (formerly (1988) known as the Bicentenary Seniors Symphony Orchestra later (2002) known as the Mitcham Orchestra).
