Jimi Sumén

Finnish guitarist and vocalist born on August 7, 1959. Started his career as a heavy metal guitarist in the later half of the 1970s. His first solo album full of guitar-driven funk was released in 1978. In the early 1980s he became interested in synth-pop and founded his own synth-pop band Jimi Sumén Projekt. He also joined Classix Nouveaux for a short time. Later he has been a member in some Finnish bands and worked as a producer. Brother of Mauri Sumén.
