Dick Rivers
Real Name: Hervé Forneri
French rock singer born on April 24, 1945, in Nice, and died on April 24, 2019, in Paris, of cancer.
His stage name was inspired by the character played by Elvis Presley in the film "Loving You."
He recorded his first album with the French rock band "Les Chats Sauvages" in 1961, on his 15th birthday. He left the group a year later, but has since pursued his solo career.

Unlike other French rock singers of the 1960s, such as Johnny Hallyday and Eddy Mitchell, he did not begin his acting career until 1999 with director Jean-Pierre Mocky. Mocky also directed a music video for him.
Dick Rivers had a long stint on RMC (Radio Monte Carlo) in a show where he recounted the history of rock 'n' roll.
