Simon Ellis

Not to be confused with the other Simon Ellis (of Ellis, Beggs & Howard, Britney Spears, D:Ream, S Club 7 fame).

Born in the U.K. Simon started producing music in the mid-80's. Armed with a few bits of gear, mostly borrowed or hired, he learned the art of recording.

After moving to Germany in '91 and working for a number of years in the advertising business, making TV commercials, he founded project 'Zero Gravity' (a collaboration with Christian Linder) and was signed to F%@#king Loud, Frankfurt releasing his debut EP in '92.

'Sensorium' followed on Rhinebeat and in '93 he signed to Le Petit Prince (Marc Romboy) and Fax records releasing EP's and albums alike. Other projects such as Houdini, The Soundlords and Rise & Shine followed and in '95 'Hungry Animal' was released on Alphabet City and became a dance hit making the charts and was even remixed by Jay Frog 12 years later and aired on MTV and Viva Europe.

Simon is currently DJing in Germany, India and Ibiza where he lives. He is also a shamanic healer and a student of Yoga.
