Michael "Bami" Rose

Saxophonist, flautist and percussionist, born on 28th September 1943 in Jamaica.
Rose moved to the UK in 1962 where he initially played with [a=Rico Rodriguez] in [a=Rico & His Band].
He later joined [a=Cymande] until their split in 1975, then South African band [a=Jabula], then [a=Aswad] for 7/8 years.
In more recent years he played with [a=Courtney Pine] and [a=Jazz Jamaica]. He is currently part of [a=Jools Holland And His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra].
He acquired the "Bami" nickname in high school.
