Ray Cappo
Hardcore punk musician originally from Connecticut where he got his start as the drummer for [a=Violent Children] and singer for [a=Youth of Today]. Co-founder of Revelation Records in 1987, which amongst others released bands like [a=Gorilla Biscuits] and [a=Sick of it All]. Eventually breaking away from Revelation, Cappo converted his straight edge ideals into a more religious-based following in Hare Krishna (more formally known as Gaudiya Vaishnavism). Following this new path, he founded a new band Shelter and record label [l=Equal Vision Records] both focused on promoting the teachings and practices of the Krishnas. In the late 90s he also formed band [a=Better Than A Thousand]. He is currently a yoga teacher, podcaster, raw food diet promoter, and occasionally involved with band reunion shows.
