Richie Hayward

Real Name: Richard Thomas Hayward

American drummer, Hayward dropped out of art school in the mid-sixties & moved to California. He joined [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/271473-Fraternity-Of-Man-The]The Fraternity Of Man[/url] & then [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/1185480-Factory-The-7]The Factory[/url] where he met Lowell George.
In 1969 he joined George in the fledgling days of Little Feat, which he remained a member of.
Hayward also did alot of session work, backing diverse artists like Tom Waits, Joan Armatrading, & Robert Plant.
He died at the age of 64 at a hospital in Victoria, B.C., Canada, after complications of pneumonia, while waiting for a liver transplant. He had suffered from liver cancer for several years.
