

Ton Scherpenzeel
Real Name: Anton D. Scherpenzeel
Ton Scherpenzeel (Hilversum, Netherlands, 6 August 1952) is a Dutch keyboardist who was a founding member of the Dutch rock band [a=Kayak], together with [a=Pim Koopman] and [a=Max Werner] whom he met whilst at the Hilversum Muziek Lyceum (Hilversum Music Grammar School).
His first solo album (1978) was an adaptation of Le carnaval des animaux by . In 1980, Ton wrote the score for the Dutch movie Spetters, featuring Rutger Hauer. His second solo album, 'Heart of the Universe' (with ), was released in 1984.
After Kayak, Ton became the keyboardist of [a=Camel], a British progressive rock band. He played several years with . He wrote almost all music for the songs in the shows of Dutch comedian .
