Samaroff was more often then not a studio musician being locked into particular bands, though he did that as well. Just a few of the bands/bandleaders he played with include the Ben Webster with Ralph Burns' Orchestra, Mitch Miller, Richard Hayman, Henri Rene, Coleman Hawkins, Phil Woods, Lehman Engel and Hal Mooney.
He played with too many acts to name but including Frank Sinatra, Robert Flack, Johnny Mathis, Victor Borge, Sarah Vaughan, and Harry Belafonte--to name the bare minimum.
