Ralph Barr

Died: May 18, 2020 in Long Beach, California

Ralph T. Barr was a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and was with the group until their December 1968 breakup. According to other members of the NGDB (namely Jeff Hanna and John McEuen) the 1968 split was due to their desire to rid themselves of a couple of members but not wanting to fire them (Chris Darrow being the other member besides Barr most likely, although Hanna would work with him shortly thereafter in Corvettes.)

Ralph was a multi-instrumentalist who played guitar, banjo, mandolin among others.
