Charlie Watts
Real Name: Charles Robert Watts
Charlie Watts (born 2 June 1941, Kingsbury, London, England; died 24 August 2021 in London, England) was an English drummer, best known as a member of , but over the years he also became involved in more jazz- and R&B-styled solo and side projects. Watts got his first drum kit in 1955. In 1961, he met [a=Alexis Korner] and became member of [a=Blues Incorporated]. In 1963, he joined The Rolling Stones. Watts played Gretsch drums. In the July 2006 issue of [i][l=Modern Drummer][/i] magazine, Watts was voted into the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame.
