
Ronnie Scott
Real Name: Ronald James Scott
British pop music promoter, group manager and songwriter; known primarily for co-writing with [a=Marty Wilde] in the 60s and [a=Steve Wolfe] in the 70s. The Ronnie Scott and Marty Wilde co-writing yielded a.o. a number of songs for the first [a=Status Quo] album and their hit "Down the Dustpipe" as well as [a=Lulu]'s hit "I'm a Tiger".
In 1976, now working in a songwriting and producing team with Steve Wolfe, Scott and Wolfe spotted [a=Bonnie Tyler] in a club in Swansea, Wales, and became her managers, songwriters, and producers. They wrote the vast majority of songs for Tyler's first album including the hits "Lost in France", "More Than a Lover" and "It's a Heartache" for her second album.
