Joey Musaphia

DJ and producer based in London.
Runs [l=Refunkt Records]. Previously ran [l=Ulterior Records] with his 2 Deep production partner [a=Gerald Elms].
Joey left high school and attended the School Of Audio Engineering (SAE) in London from 1988 to 1989. Whilst studying he was DJ'ing at various bars and clubs as well as entering the DMC Mixing Championships. Using free studio time given at SAE Joey starting producing tracks, one of which was signed to Cooltempo, EMI by Simon Dunmore under the guise [a=Taste Of Paradise]. Following this Joey began releasing tracks under various pseudonyms, one of which being the infamous Cover Ups EPs. A string of remixes ensued while at the same time starting his label Ulterior Records. Joey launched Refunkt Records in 2002.
