


Tony Higgins
Real Name: Anthony Higgins
British manager, compilation/album executive producer, reissue consultant and compiler.
Higgins has advised on and written sleeve notes for several reissue labels including [l=Ascensionale], [l=Eating Standing Publishing], [l=seriE.WOC] and [l=BBE].
In 2007, Higgins worked with [a=Emmylou Harris], producing a live concert film, shot in Los Angeles, titled "Emmylou Harris 10 Commandments of Country".
Along with Mike Peden, Higgins co-compiled the compilation "[m=1319883]" (2018) for BBE and has co-curated the BBE [l=J Jazz Masterclass Series] specialising in reissuing rare Japanese jazz from the 1960s to 1980s. He is also Exec Producer for the Decca/Universal British Jazz Explosion series.
Higgins has also worked on several TV documentaries including a number of [l=BBC] projects such as 'Jazz Britannia', 'Girls & Boys: Sex and British Pop', 'Seven Ages of Rock', 'Kings of Rock and Roll', and has also written for specialist music and national press.
