Tony Higgins

British manager, compilation/album executive producer, reissue consultant and compiler.

Higgins has advised on and written sleeve notes for several reissue labels including Ascensionale, Eating Standing Publishing, seriE.WOC and BBE.

In 2007, Higgins worked with Emmylou Harris, producing a live concert film, shot in Los Angeles, titled "Emmylou Harris 10 Commandments of Country".

Along with Mike Peden, Higgins co-compiled the compilation "1319883" (2018) for BBE and has co-curated the BBE J Jazz Masterclass Series specialising in reissuing rare Japanese jazz from the 1960s to 1980s. He is also Exec Producer for the Decca/Universal British Jazz Explosion series.

Higgins has also worked on several TV documentaries including a number of BBC projects such as 'Jazz Britannia', 'Girls & Boys: Sex and British Pop', 'Seven Ages of Rock', 'Kings of Rock and Roll', and has also written for specialist music and national press.
