American orchestra leader and composer.
Born June 17th, 1922 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.
Died February 17th, 1980 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Brother of composer .
Best known for composing film music. He was a three-time Oscar nominee. He was known for his collaborations with Sam Peckinpah, Michael Winner and Clint Eastwood. Some of his film compositions include [i]The Wild Bunch[/i] (1969), [i]Straw Dogs[/i] (1971), [i]The Outlaw Josey Wales[/i] (1976), [i]The Enforcer[/i] (1976), [i]The Gauntlet[/i] (1977), and many others.
