Blind Faith
Real Name: Blind Faith
English blues rock supergroup founded in 1968 and disbanded in 1969.
The band was formed when guitarist Eric Clapton and organist Steve Winwood had no projects in the works. Clapton's band, Cream, had disbanded and Winwood had The Spencer Davis Group and Traffic behind him. They knew each other from before and the two gradually began to meet and jam together.
It was actually the band's drummer, Ginger Baker, who took the initiative to form the band when he met the two at Clapton's house in Surrey. Bassist Ric Grech soon joined the band.
