Chris Tsangarides

British producer, sound engineer, musician and label owner of Greek Cypriot origin (7 August 1956 – 7 January 2018).

Started his career in 1974 as tape operator at Morgan Studios. When the studio was rechristened Battery Studios, London in 1980, he became in-house producer. Even though active in a variety of genres, in this period he became renowned for his work with hard rock and heavy metal acts.

In the early 2000s he started his own studio named Rainmaker Music Media / Rainmaker Studios, followed by The Dump, Surrey and The Ecology Room.

He played the piano, trumpet and guitar. Co-founder of Dark Lord Records.
