Ray Staff

British mastering and lacquer cutting engineer based in London.

Staff started his music career as studio assistant at [l=Trident Studios] in 1970. In 1986 he then moved to mastering at [l=The Exchange] then subsequently to [l=Sony Music Studios, London] in 1994, followed by a move to [l=Alchemy Soho] (all in London, UK). Also known to work at [l=Whitfield Street]. Between 2010 and 2018, Ray Staff ran [l=Air Mastering] in London, UK, part of the Air Studios complex. Since 2018 he is no longer employed by Air Studios but will work on selected projects only.
