


John Golden
Real Name: John Golden
Mastering and lacquer cutting engineer, based in California, United States.
Vinyl cuts can be identified by 'JG' in the runouts, usually in combination with either [l=Kendun Recorders] or [l=K Disc Mastering] or [l=Golden Mastering] stamps.
When just 'GOLDEN' appears in the runouts, please credit Lacquer Cut At - [l=Golden Mastering].
Not to be confused with his son [a=JJ Golden] and his daughter , who work as mastering / lacquer cutting engineers at the same studio.
In his early high school days ('60s), John formed a band called and they released a few 45s. The band played its last gig on October 9th 1965. Three days later John was inducted into the Navy.
Before starting his own mastering studio [l=Golden Mastering] (Ventura, California) in 1993, he worked four years as a recording engineer at [l=Wally Heider Studios] (ca. 1969–ca. 1973), before becoming a mastering engineer with [l=Artisan Sound Recorders] (ca. 1973–1975), [l=Kendun Recorders] (1975–1981) and [l=K Disc Mastering] (1981–1993).
