Ray Davies was one of Britain's foremost musicians the 1960s and 1970s. Throughout his fifty year career he has been much sought after as a trumpet player, arranger, conductor and as a composer/lyricist. His career resurged in the 1990s during the lounge revival. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 89.
