Clydie King

Clydie King (born 21 August 1943, Dallas, Texas, USA – died 7 January 2019, Monrovia, California, USA) was an American singer.

King provided backing vocals for [a=Humble Pie], which had great success in the United States, and she went on to become an in-demand session singer, worked with [a=Venetta Fields] and [a=Sherlie Matthews] and recorded with [a=B.B. King], [a=The Rolling Stones], [a=Steely Dan], [a=Barbra Streisand], [a=Bob Dylan], [a=Linda Ronstadt], [a=Joe Cocker], [a=Dickey Betts], [a=Joe Walsh], and many others.

She was a member of The [a=Blackberries] with Fields and Matthews and sang on Joe Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour, which became a feature film.
