Ozzie Cadena
Real Name: Oscar "Ozzie" Cadena
American Jazz and Gospel producer, composer for the Savoy and Prestige labels.

Died April 9, 2008 Torrance, California (pneumonia, aged 83).
He worked at Newark's Radio Record Shop, whose owner Herman Lubinsky (aka Lew Herman) also owned Savoy Records, whom he later wrote numerous songs with including his only charted song, by Nappy Brown "I Cried Like A Baby". The song, co-written with Herman and Nappy Brown, hit #22 in 1959 on the U.S. R & B chart. Cadena remained a longtime staff producer for Savoy. BMI IPI #: 4779480.
When Esmond Edwards left Prestige in September 1962 for Argo, Cadena replaced him as the new A&R director in October 1962. He came from Savoy Records to fill the position at Prestige. Father of Dez Cadena.
