

Bill Curbishley
Real Name: William George Curbishley
English artist manager and promoter, music and film producer, and visual artist, born 13 March, 1942, in Forest Gate, London, England, UK.
Childhood friend of [a=Chris Stamp] and [a=Mike Shaw]. Originally an apprentice draftsman, then joined the Merchant Navy with Shaw. Hired by Stamp and Shaw to work at [l=New Action Ltd.] and [l=Track Record]s in December 1970, where he eventually became director. Became [a=Roger Daltrey]'s personal manager in 1973, and they formed [l=Goldhawke Productions Ltd.] in 1974.
On 2 January 1974, he and his then wife [a=Jackie Curbishley] established [l=Trinifold Ltd.] which, on 27 January 1989, was renamed [url=/label/1105637-Trinifold-Management]Trinifold Management Limited[/url] and he became its company director.
Eventually resigned from Track Records as the company disintegrated due to Lambert and Stamp's mismanagement, managed a Rolling Stones European tour on request of [a=Peter Rudge], and, in April 1976, officially became [a=The Who]'s manager, taking over from Rudge. Later managed [a=Steve Gibbons], [a=Judas Priest] (starting 1983), [a=Robert Plant], [a=Jimmy Page] (staring 1994), and [a=UB40], among others.
