John Burns

British sound engineer and producer active in the 1970s, started as tea-boy and tape operator at [l=Morgan Studios] in 1965. Known for his work on the first 3 [a=Jethro Tull] albums, [a=Genesis] with [a=Peter Gabriel] and acts like [a=Traffic], [a=Fairport Convention], [a=John Martyn], [a=Ginger Baker] & [a=Fela Kuti], [a=Burning Spear] and many more. Worked extensively at [l=Island Studios], also briefly owned [l=Escape Studios]. Now part of prog-rock band [a=JEBO]. [b]Not to be confused with other UK engineer [a=John Burns (2)]![/b]
