The Seeds
1960s American psychedelic garage rock band from Los Angeles, California (USA), fronted by Sky Saxon. The original, classic line-up was active from 1965 to 1969, but Saxon continued to use the name at least through 1972, using a varying set of backup musicians. He reformed the original Seeds in 1989. After a second hiatus, the band was reformed in 2003 with Saxon and Savage, with Saxon alone eventually using many different sets of musicians to record or tour as "The Seeds". Saxon died in 2009, followed by Andridge in 2011 and Savage in 2020. In 2017, Daryl Hooper formed a reunited version with other original members and alumni from the Saxon-led line-ups, which still tours.
