Out Cast is a Japanese Group Sounds band, formed in spring 1966. They released six singles and an album on Teichiku before splitting up.
The band was formed by (known as at the time), who was a member of the instrumental electric band "津田竜一とブルーエース," which was active in the early 1960s, and .
was scouted by Mizutani, and invited him to sign a personal contract with Watanabe Productions and join as one of the singers.
After further scouting and auditions, joined the group, and in June 1966 the band was formed as Watanabe Productions' first group sounds band, making their record debut in 1967.
In the summer of 1967, Fujita left, and in the fall, left, leaving the group as a four-piece, but disbanded in March 1968 at the request of Watanabe Productions.
Todoroki and Mizutani formed , and Ono left Watanabe Productions to join Ono Productions, reforming the new Outkast with the new members.
In June, they released the single "[r34603942]" and served as a backing band for , but the production of their next single was cancelled, and Ono decided to make a fresh start by planning his next activities, so they ended their activities in early 1969.
