John G. Deacon

British producer and executive. Born 29 October 1940.
He started his career in May 1960 at at Hayes, England, UK. From thence he was transferred to (1964-7) and then to (1967-9). From 1969 to 1971, he was Managing Director at . Between 1971/2 and 1980, he worked at [l=Columbia Graphophone Company Of Greece Limited]/ as sales director, especially charged with the responsibility of bringing all EMI's Arab music producers under the wing of that company. In 1977, he founded [l=Conifer]; he left the company in 1985. Between 1989 and 1995, he was appointed at , with the responsibility for their home video programmes. From 1995 to 1999, he was Consultant of Arab Music at [l=EMI Music Arabia] in Dubai (Jebel Ali Freezone).
