

Sara Lee
Real Name: Sara Lee
English bass player and singer from a small town in the West Midlands. Daughter of 2 music teachers, she played tympani and double bass in school until she discovered the electric bass guitar. [a=Robert Fripp] discovered her when she was working at Polydor Records and asked her to join [a=The League Of Gentlemen (2)].
Sara went on to work with [a=Robyn Hitchcock] and [a=Gang of Four] in England, and later moved to the United States. In 1996 and 1997 she toured with [a=Ani DiFranco] and played with many other artists, including [a=The B-52's], [a=Indigo Girls], [a=Joan Osborne], [a=Ryuichi Sakamoto], [a=Fiona Apple], and the [a=Thompson Twins].
She released her solo debut, on Righteous Babe Records, in 2000.
