Ladybug Mecca

NYC rapper and songwriter born from a mother who was a Brazilian jazz singer and father who was a Brazilian jazz musician. Ladybug Mecca is prominently known for her role in the group Digable Planets in which she contributed to making "hip-hop bebop" popular in the 1990's. In 2005, she released her solo album [url=http://www.discogs.com/release/787224]Trip The Light Fantastic[/url] which can be said is a reflection of her Brazilian roots as it runs the gamut of styles, including samba, hip-hop, jazz and rock and one on which Ladybug both raps and sings.
