Afroboogie

Afroboogie are the combined efforts and talents of Nelson Moreira (Dj/Producer/Label manager) and Neil Ward (Producer/ Engineer) both originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. Together, they have been producing since 2000.
After a few releases on the Ministry of Sound US label and Whoop! they decided to put their efforts into starting up a label so that they could develop their own unique style of Tribal/ Progressive and Tech style house music and release it to the masses, this is how Afroboogie Recordings was born. The release of the label introduced the underground sound of Johannesburg to the world, exposing the South African club scene internationally. Their releases feature a wide variety of elements including deep, haunting basslines, percussion and energy.
