Shady Owens

Vocalist b. 1949.07.16 in St. Louis, Chicago, USA. Originally a member of St. Louis based duo "Shady & Sonny" but later worked with a number of Icelandic bands in the late 1960's and early 70's and again with some Icelandic labels in the 80's. Married recording engineer Geoff Calver around 1980.

Performed in the 80's as "Shady" when working as a solo artist and using her married name "Shady Calver" when working as a session vocalist, but is back to using Shady Owens. Rejoined Trúbrot when they re-grouped in 2009. Currently based in the UK.
