Rachid Taha
Real Name: Rachid Taha
Algerian artist, founder of pioneer French Arabic rock band Carte De Séjour. His father is from Bejaia, in the Kabyle area of Algeria while his mother was from Mascara (in the eastern part of the country). Rachid grew up in the suburbs of Lyon, in France and invented a sort of Rock n' Raï music style.
Born 18th of September 1958 in Saint-Denis-du-Sig (today Sig), near Oran, Algeria.
Died 12th of September 2018 in Les Lilas (Seine-Saint-Denis) France.
