Hayes Gordon

American actor, singer, stage director and acting teacher with a considerable career in Australia.
Born February 25, 1920, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Died October 19, 1999, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Gordon began his stage career with Boston's Peabody Players in 1935. He was a member of the original cast of "Oklahoma" (1942). Studied with Lee Strasberg. After service in Air Force during WWII continued to work in musical theatre 1945-1951. Went to Australia to star in "Kiss Me Kate" 1952 and remained in Australia. Member of the Ensemble Theatre in Sydney 1958. Continued acting on stage, radio & television until 1984.
