Since 1987 Eduard Serov has been Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the , and he has been Chief Conductor in Odens (Denmark).
His education includes graduating from the Moscow Sveshnikov Choral School, Gnesyny Institute and the Kiev Conservatory. Following that he took a postgraduate course at the Leningrad Conservatory under [a=Yevgeny Mravinsky], and later worked as his assistant at the .
In 1969, Serov became a prize-winner of the first International Contest of Conductors arranged by in West Berlin.
