Based in Minneapolis, formed by [a=Prince], utilizing former members of [a=The Time] without founding members [a=Morris Day] and [a=Jesse Johnson], both of whom had started solo careers at that time, and adding [a=Susannah Melvoin], twin sister of [a=Prince And The Revolution] guitarist [a=Wendy Melvoin]. The group released the now-classic "Nothing Compares 2 U" in 1985, which became a smash hit when covered by [a=Sinéad O'Connor] in 1990. Now known as [a=fDeluxe].
