Murray Bowles was an American violist and iconic photographer best known for his documentation of the DIY punk and metal scenes in and around the San Francisco Bay Area, including the early days of 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley.

Active from the 1980s until his death in 2019 at the age of 68.
